We looked at roughly 30 chairs, tried all the ones at REI and several other stores… and even others’ chairs at campgrounds. We have two beautiful, expensive teak folding chairs we carry in our camper now… super comfortable, and pretty fancy looking in the campground… but whoa are they heavy (and more than 2x the price of True Places). That’s what triggered our search.

Yours are fantastic, although my 5’4” petite wife will say that the depth of the seat may call for a pillow behind her… still she found yours as comfortable as the teak ones we love (they are moving to our deck at home, and yours go into the camper). Comfort, sturdy and reliable, good-looking and LIGHT!

WOW, spent the last few month trying to find a decent portable chair at a decent price. No luck until I discover True Places. Received my chair couple days ago. Well worth the money. These are great chairs. We’ve used yeti chairs for years now wanted a lighter chair to carry. Going from a yeti to these, was like buying the super light quality luggage. Super tough n easier to handle. Also wanted the updated carry bag after getting the chairs n they sent it no charge. Class act from a new company. Camping friends have all tried them and are ordering as replacements for their chairs.

The product is fantastic but more importantly the company is one of the best I have ever dealt with. They personally take care of any product and back up the product in any way you need. I recommend them to everyone!

These chairs exceed expectations. The quality is evident in every detail. These chairs are many steps above anything in market. They are extremely sturdy and easy to setup. Once out of their bag and on the ground they move like actual furniture and don't blow around or over like most camp chairs will with the smallest of breezes. These chairs also sit like furniture not like most portable chairs that feel more like a hammock. There is no doubt these chairs will last for years to come. 5 Stars!

Great chair …more comfortable and sturdier than others…and customer service is beyond compare!

I was getting tired of two things. One, the typical folding "soccer" chairs which are getting harder and harder to get my old body out of. Two, I have two folding Yeti Hondo chairs that are as comfortable as you can find. However, each of them weighs in at 17 pounds, cost us $300 each, and are a chore to pack into the truck on tailgate weekends. When the Emmett chair started showing up in my ads, I started to pay attention. After much reading and reviewing, I decided to pull the trigger on four chairs when they went on sale.

I have to say, I am not disappointed on two fronts. The chairs themselves are MUCH more portable than the Yetis, and are just as comfortable. They're easy to fold and pack up. And four of them easily fit in the space of the two Yeti chairs. After their initial tailgate outing, I'd consider them a major upgrade over our old seating!

The second front is customer service. One of the four chairs had a stubborn arm that wouldn't lock when open. It sat fine, but the arm wouldn't lock into place. I contacted customer support via email and received a response within four hours. A replacement was on the way, and a label to return the other was included. The replacement got here within two business days and is 100% functional.

I will make a note to follow up at a later date after they have some more miles on them, but so far, I'm giving them five out of five!

I ordered my chair to replace an old chair like you see in the ad - one that had been to countless children’s sporting events and family activities over the years. The kids are adults now and it was time to step up to something better! This is by far the most comfortable portable chair I have ever owned! I take it everywhere. I do a lot of volunteering at outdoor events and everyone wants to borrow it! I highly recommend the phone and cup holder options - they are both great and I like the fact that you can take them on and off for storage. I have the sky blue color - love it!

As a dad of 4 that spends a ton of time outside at the field watching my kids I spent weeks looking at different chair options including more expensive chairs and have used inferior chairs until I found True Places chairs. These chairs are the BEE'S KNEE'S of chairs! Incredibly comfortable and easy to pack/unpack with their carry case. The cupholder even holds my large tumbler made by another chair manufacturer 🙄 who's chairs I considered but after trying True Places I said NO WAY.

After more than a decade of dissatisfaction with lugging run-of-the-mill chairs to my kids' sports events, I finally found the chair I wish I had all along.
